Courtney + Brett | A Florian Gardens Wedding in Eau Claire, Wisconsin

We were beyond excited when we first got in contact with Courtney and Brett about documenting their big day. From the first time we spoke, it was such an incredibly positive experience even in the midst of planning a wedding during a global pandemic (a.k.a. 2020). When we stepped foot in the door in the Florian Gardens in Eau Claire, you could feel the joy from both the bride and groom in the air.

The weather did not look promising as we drove through rain almost the entire way to Eau Claire. Let me tell you, MOTHER NATURE SHOWED UP in time for this outdoor ceremony! Just before their first look the skies started clearing up and the rain stopped, even long enough for us to capture close family photos post-ceremony. In learning that the families had sadly lost loved ones prior to the wedding, it was almost heart-stopping to see the sun make its only appearance during the family photos. As if they were saying, “we’re here with you on your wedding day!”. If that’s not a sign from above, I don’t know what is!

Following the ceremony and a few games or cornhole (midwest tradition), Courtney, Brett and their guests headed inside to the beautiful ballroom of the Florian Gardens. Surrounded by those closest to them, we heard stories of how the two met and how incredibly perfect they were for each other. Though being around the two for mere minutes it was obvious.

Thank you Courtney, Brett as well as your family and friends for sharing your special day with us. We could not be happier for the two of you and can not wait to watch your love grow!
